I have been training with Gil on & off since 2015. Gil helped me regain confidence in my abilities. During our personal training sessions, he listened well to my concerns & focused on my post-surgery weaker areas. I was able to return to dancing and other strenuous activities. Thanks to Gil's workouts and him checking in on my eating habits, I was able to lose about 20lbs (and maintain it!). More recently, I have been dropping in to his group training sessions. These 1 hour sessions focus on total body strength and I am happily sore the following day :)

My wife and I have been training with Gil for the past six months. He is an amazing trainer with lots of patience and puts lot of thought into the exercise routines that fit your needs. I have some sports injuries to my knees and hamstring and Gil is very careful to provide alternate exercises whenever there is an exercise targeting my problem areas.

In addition to the workout routines, Gil also provides customized recipes tailored to achieve weight loss. But he doesn't force you to follow his diet regimen. He also sends out a really great weekly newsletter with workout tips and recipes. We have got wonderful results from him.

If you are looking for an awesome trainer in Dublin, look no further. Very highly recommended.

I can't say enough great things about Gil. I purchased a set of personal training sessions with him after seeing all the positive 5-star reviews about him. Every session went by so quickly because of the thought and creativity he puts into the workout plans -- never a dull moment! I always felt challenged and, with his help and encouragement, pushed myself to hit new milestones I didn't think I could achieve. He also spent a lot of time educating me on proper form, dieting guidance, and busting common myths/misconceptions about certain diets and exercises. I also had a crazy schedule that didn't allow me to have a consistent workout schedule each week, and Gil was super flexible in accommodating that. Overall -- HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND Gil if you're looking for a high quality 1:1 (or even small group) training experience!!

My wife signed me up with Gil for three sessions when I was about to start working out on my own. I thought I knew a lot about workouts and diets that I decided that I would only do those three sessions with him and not sign-up for more.

The first day we met, we spoke briefly about the goals and he made me do some exercises to evaluate my fitness level (which wasn't great !!).

The second session went pretty much the same way as the first one. We spoke a lot about workouts, goals, diets, etc. By the end of the third session, I realized how comfortable I was with Gil that I was interested in signing up for more sessions (not once he asked me about it until I brought it up on my own).

Gil cares a lot about you and your goals and customizes the workouts based on your comfort. He is very patient and clarifies all your doubts/concerns (I bug/annoy him with a lot of questions, mostly stupid ones and he has always answered them patiently). He focuses more on the technique and makes sure you do the exercise correctly. He doesn't overload the sessions with too many exercises (since he never compromises on quality and technique). He is very flexible and schedules sessions based on your availability.

It's been three months since I started working out and I can clearly see a lot of changes in me. My stamina has improved a lot. Have lost a lot of weight and body fat (thanks to his help with the diet). Definitely, have gotten stronger and fitter than what I was three months back as I am able to hold myself in the gym after an hour-long workout.

My fitness journey has just started and I still have a long way to go. I am confident that I would be able to achieve my goals with the help of Gil.  He is probably the best trainers I have worked with and is worth every penny.

I started working out at Platinum Fitness (now Dublin Fitness) back in September 2018. After spending about 4 months or so working out on my own and following workouts I found online and seeing no results, I decided it was time I reach out to someone more knowledgeable for help.

I always used to see Gil around at the gym working with his clients and I always admired from a far how one on one he was with them. You could tell he cared about them and their success.

Since I'm someone who didn't necessarily want someone to personal train with me everyday, I asked Gil if he would instead write me a workout plan, giving me something to follow when I went into the gym on my own. After talking to him for awhile about my goals (build muscle while also burning fat) we opted for a 3 month program. This included a workout plan, help with my nutrition, and coaching along the way. After lots of hard work and help from Gil, 3 months later, I was blown away with my results and overall new body composition! I attached pictures from my first 3 month program with Gil here so you can see the transformation! You will come to find that not only will Gil get you results, he will also make himself available to you and answer any questions along the way! He takes a holistic approach the health and wellness and focuses on educating his clients along the way.

At the moment, I am currently on my second program with Gil and am seeing amazing results once again! I'm excited for the next progression of my fitness journey with his help.

I moved to the San Ramon/Dublin area about a year and a half ago and was looking for a small, local gym to get back into a normal workout routine after being out of it for a few months. This is where I happened upon Gil. I've always been an avid gym-goer, but didn't really know what I was missing in my normal workout routines. Enter Gil! After seeing him in the gym training his clients, I decided to ask him some questions only to find out he not only provides personal training, but will also write workout and nutrition plans for his clients. Being a (somewhat) seasoned gym veteran, I opted to have him write me a 3 month training plan which included nutrition/meal plans and workouts depending on my schedule. He really listened to everything I had to say and worked to make a diet plan and training plan that worked around my schedule and abilities. I was honestly amazed at the results over a 3 month period of time when I didn't even feel like I was in the gym for that long! I also have an old car accident injury in my upper back and shoulder that has always caused me problems. I informed Gil about this during our initial consultation and he made sure not to add anything in my routine that would cause any problems, but he DID make sure to include workouts to help strengthen my back muscles. After going through his initial training program, I have had hardly any issues with my back and shoulder and I can 100% attribute it to his training plan.

The difference between Gil and other trainers is that he focuses on educating his clients, not just one and done training. Utilizing proper form, how to engage your muscles properly, sleep, nutrition, wellness - he does it all and somehow still manages to make it enjoyable! I've never had another trainer who focused on nutrition and overall wellness versus just workout routines. Getting the body you want goes beyond getting your workouts in on a regular basis and Gil goes above and beyond to transform his clients into the best versions of themselves while educating them along the way. Hands down, he is the best trainer in the area. If you really do want to get the most out of your diet and workout routine, Gil is worth every penny.

I've recently started working out with Gil after a long gap. Gil really cares about the health and well-being of his clients. He plans the most effective workouts and is able to work around injuries. He incorporates a wide range of exercises so you never feel the sessions are repetitive. Gil's calm and positive attitude pushes me to put in a 100% effort every session. I highly recommend working with him to reach your fitness goals!

I have tried other smaller or independent trainers in the past and even some larger companies but they never really worked for me. I always left my sessions feeling like, I was just taking up an hour out of someone's day. I really wanted to exercise more. Just running or riding was getting boring. I felt award in the gym using machines or weights, because I didn't understand how to train correctly. I arrived at my appointment with Gil. We talked back and forth for about ten minutes or so, took some measurements and then he said "let's get to work".  Thirty minutes later I was pulling a sled across the parking lot and flinging battle ropes around. Then we went back inside and started on some free weights and finished off with a little cardio and I was more than done. I was feeling this workout and I knew I would be feeling it for a couple of days. Gil told me this isn't a typical workout but that he listened to what I wanted to accomplish earlier and what he saw in what I could do and picked this routine for the session.
I stayed consistent training with Gil for six months. He taught me what it means to create your workouts with push and pull in mind, to always take deep breaths and keep your abs tight and focus on form always. Soon I was benching and dead lifting more weight and with better technique then I ever had. I was feeling good and others could see the change.  Then life changed and I had to stop training with Gil. I didn't stay as consistent as I wanted but I had an understanding now of what to do in the gym. Gil helped me find the confidence and to "not over think things and make it complicated". I recommend Gil as he actually listens to what you want, your goals and looks to see how he can help you be successful.

Gil is an awesome trainer! Super knowledgeable not just about training and exercise routines, but also of diet and nutrition. He will take time to understand your goals and map out a road for you to succeed. Along the way he will also advise you on how to work around injuries so you can still get a great workout even if you're not feeling 100%. I had signed up with Gil for a 15 session training program. He was very methodical, thorough and scientific in his approach. He came up with a very customized set of work out routines and a detailed diet to maximize the results. I worked with Gil in the past and he is a great trainer.  He worked with me on slowly getting better with back pain and taught me proper technique and slowly improved weights until I was comfortable in doing squats and deadlifts again.  He also worked with Meal plans.  He also made a 4 day training upper and lower program which really helped me hone my training on my own as well.  Highly recommended.

I have been training with Gil for over a year now. I feel stronger and healthier than ever. I still need to work on my diet but my stamina has significantly improved. He is one of the better trainer I have worked with. He is very knowledgeable and professional. 

When you get comfortable with some of weight training/exercises, Gil changes it so that you can push/challenges yourself and come out of the comfort zone. Every session is different and challenging. 

Gil also share healthy eating recipes time to time. Can share more recipes. Gil is very flexible with timing and very accommodating.

I would definitely recommend him as a quality trainer.

Its been about 6 months since I started my personal training sessions with Gil for my weight loss goals and I have looked forward to my next session every day since then. He really listened to my physical goals and studied my limits and tailored an exercise routine around that. I really like how he checks in on my diet and sleep patterns which have improved greatly since I have met him. He is very flexible with his schedule around the week which is a great plus. Since I have started training with him I have had a shift from Weight loss to fat loss, gaining strength and being agile. Gil makes sure we develop a habit of pushing ourselves to give it all. He really explains the importance of eating healthy and ways to improve your metabolism and always focus on the big picture. Gilbert is the best private trainer that I have seen so far. I have known him for almost 4 years. He always showed care and even designed a meal plan for me to better meet my fitness goal. During the training, he always took some notes about the weights for me and encouraged me to challenge a heavier weights or just push one more. With his support, I am able to continue to try new weights that I couldn't do it myself. In addition, Gilbert is very flexible on the schedule and even after hours. Whenever I have a quick question about fitness or types of food and sent it to him, he can promptly responded my message. I think I will continue my fitness journey with him.

When I started with Gilbert, I explained to him that I was a runner and I want to be a stronger and better runner. So, I needed my overall core body stronger. My focus was all about running but now my focus is about my strength training, all because of Gilbert, he is an excellent and inspiring trainer. He also helped me identify the foods that work for body as well as helping me establish better sleep habits. My cardio and strength training programs are tailor made just for me. They are always challenging but invigorating. I'm never bored and always intrigued by the new routines. I have been with Gilbert for over a year now and he is worth every penny spent.
